"I am _______, and I believe _______."

What counts is what we believe. I am may be used to put your statement in context.

I am a high school student and I believe that education should be free for everyone. Private and parochial schools could be supported by vouchers easily. Conversely, public schools could offer elective (non-required) religion classes for those students who wish to learn about their own or another religion. Also, the costs of college have increased almost exponentially in recent years, though paradoxically colleges give financial aid to the majority of students. Other countries, such as Germany, have free education of this nature. If education is the great equalizer, then opportunities to be educated must be equal first.
