- dKosopedia, a political encyclopedia. The dKosopedia is written from a left/progressive/liberal/Democratic point of view.
- E-Democracy.Org's Wiki, this non-profit, non-partisan, non-advocacy site includes use of a wiki to collect contact and link information from candidates such as Minnesota Gubernatorial candidates and their President 2008 directory effort
- Issuepedia describes itself as "the encyclopedia of issues, analysis, thought, and opinion. As with Wikipedia, anyone can edit; unlike Wikipedia, we encourage opinions and rants as well as carefully considered analysis and purely factual writing." Their main page includes a list of related projects
- Wikocracy: "This is a test to see what happens when everyone can write and revise the law."
- The Ideal Government Project: A U.K. based effort to enable citizens to "say what we want from e-enabled government."
- PoliticWiki: Originally a six-month study asking participants to build a political platform from scratch, PoliticWiki currently lives on as part of the mission of 3rd Party, a political organization of amateur politicians seeking critical mass.
- SourceWatch Congresspedia: "Congresspedia is a collaboratively written 'citizens' encyclopedia on Congress, designed to shine more light on the workings of the U.S. Congress.". Site based on MediaWiki.
- Open Politics.ca is Canada's incredibly interactive political forum
- More Perfect.org is where we have the opportunity to rewrite some laws. Based in Seattle.
- Spacedebate.org: "an effort to expand the debate on the weaponization of space through a collaborative, wiki-like tool for structured debate on a topic."
- The Australian Bill of Rights Initiative - the most humble beginnings of an organisation dedicated to the creation of an Australian bill of rights, written collaboratively by volunteers.
